What you are agreeing to
- What runs on your computer. The PARCEL Worker app loads pages from zillow.com through your internet connection, one at a time, while it is switched on. It sits in your system tray, starts with your computer if you let it, and loads the pages in a browser window of its own that stays hidden. It never touches your own browser, bookmarks, passwords or history, and it reads nothing else on your computer.
- What you are paid. $0.02 a page that the PARCEL server accepts. A page is accepted when it is the page that was asked for, loaded in full. The rate can change; the new rate shows on your dashboard before it applies. At most 1,000 pages a day are paid per computer.Your balance is shown on the dashboard and paid out by the method you agree with us. What you have earned stays yours if you stop.
- Zillow may block your address. Zillow limits how many pages one internet address may read. When it refuses a page, the extension stops for an hour or more, and in the meantime your own visits to zillow.com from this connection may show a “press and hold” check or a captcha. This is the main cost of taking part, and it is yours.
- Your internet provider. Some providers’ terms do not allow sharing or reselling a home connection. Whether yours does is between you and them; please check before you switch the extension on.
- Stopping. Any time: the switch in the app’s tray menu, Pause on your dashboard, or uninstalling the app. Nothing is loaded while it is off. We can also pause or close an account; a closed account is still paid what it earned.
- What we see. Your internet address, when the extension is on, which pages it loaded and how they went. Nothing else from your computer. We do not sell this.
- The rules. One account per person. Your own home or office connection, not a data center, a VPN or a shared proxy. One app per computer. The server’s checks decide what is paid, and a page that fails them is not paid. Sending anything but what the app loaded itself ends the account.
PARCEL reads public listing pages. Zillow’s terms do not allow reading its pages by machine; that choice, and its consequences for PARCEL, are PARCEL’s. The consequence for you is the one named above: Zillow may limit your address for a while.
